# MyPet Storage

This doesn't mean you can have more than one pet active at a time but to store any pets you don't want active at the set moment.

## What uses the storage?

* The pet [shop](/legacy/premium.md) 💲
* the `/petstore` and `/petswitch` [commands](/legacy/setup/commands.md)
* The `mypet-storage`-Citizens trait of [MyPet-NPC](/legacy/hooks/npc.md)
* all pets obtained by other sources than taming them

## How can I limit the amount of pets a player can store?

The amount of pets a player can store is limited by the following permission:

* `MyPet.petstorage.limit.`**`X`**
* **`X`** needs to be replaced by the amount of pets a player should be able to store.

## What is the Max-Stored-Pet-Count config setting for?

Because the server needs to check a lot of permissions in order to check if the player is allowed to store more than his currently stored pets, there is a config setting that limits these checks.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.mypet-plugin.de/legacy/systems/storage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
